Titan™ Skin Tightening
The Titan Procedure is a safe, non-surgical process that uses an intense pulsed infrared light source to tighten skin and reverse the signs of aging. What should I expect during treatment?
You will be asked to wear safety goggles to protect your eyes from any exposure to laser light. A small area will be tested to determine the proper laser settings for your treatment. The light will be delivered through a small hand-piece that touches your skin. The surface of the skin is protected by a cooling gel and by a cooling head which glides over the skin immediately before of the light beam. Individual comfort levels vary as treatment progresses. A pulse of laser light is mildly uncomfortable, but tolerable, and is often described as feeling like the snap of a rubber band against the skin.
How long do treatments take?
That depends on how many body areas a client chooses to have treated during a particular session. A Complete face and neck take about an hour.
How many treatments do I need?
Clients frequently find that one treatment is sufficient. However, for optimal results several treatments are recommended.
Do the treatments hurt?
Most patients experience a heating or a stinging sensation as the light energy is delivered to the skin. The skin will be cooled frequently to minimize discomfort. Following the treatment, the discomfort is minimal to nonexistent.
What happens after treatment?
Immediately following the treatment, you may notice some redness and mild swelling in the treated area. Both should dissipate within a few hours.
When will I see results?
Some patients see results immediately. However, for most patients, the results are gradual over a three to six month period as new collagen is formed and the skin tightens.
What are the possible side effects?
Side effects are rare and usually temporary. Initially there may be redness and swelling, which will gradually subside over the next several days.
